- CAS Number:1197-22-4
- Molecular formula:C7H9NO2S
- Molecular Weight:171.22
Yield: 80%
Reaction Conditions:
with copper(II) acetate monohydrate;potassium carbonate in water for 4 h;Reflux;Green chemistry;
Steps:
General Procedure for the Copper-Catalyzed Arylation of Sulfonamides with Arylboronic Acids
General procedure: To a mixture of copper salt (0.2 mmol) and arylboronic acid (1.0 mmol) in H2O (6 mL), base (1.3 mmol), sulfonamide (1.0 mmol), and H2O (12 mL) were added, and the mixture was vigorously stirred for the appropriate times under reflux conditions. After completion (as monitored by TLC), the reaction mixture was cooled to r.t. The resulting product was filtered and purified by recrystallization using EtOAc and n-hexane to afford the N-arylated product. All anlytical data are consistent with those reported in the literature.
