EXPERIMENTAL
Powdered potassium bromide was treated withozone in a glass thermostatted reactor. The workingsection of the reactor was a vertically positioned glasscylinder, in the lower part of which a disk made ofporous glass was sealed. During the experiments, powderedpotassium bromide was placed onto this disk,and the gases entered the reactor through the disk aswell. The amount of potassium bromide in the reactorwas either 10 or 25 g. In order to ensure effective contactbetween the surfaces of small crystals of potassiumbromide and the gases, the reactor was shaken verticallyduring the experiments. The amplitude of movementswas ~10 cm, and the frequency of shaking(7 s1) was specially selected.
