General procedure for the preparation of pyrroles 3.
General procedure: All the reactions were carried out under aerobic atmosphere. To a solution of substrate 5-hexen-2-one 1 (0.6 mmol, 1.2 mmol for the diamines substrates) and amines 2 (0.5 mmol) in toluene (2.0 mL) was added to Pd(OCOCF3)2 (0.05 mmol, 16.5 mg). The mixture with O2 balloon was stirred at 100 °C overnight. The substrate was consumed completely monitored by TLC. The mixture was cooled to room temperature, filtered through celite, washed with ethylacetate and concentrated under vacuum. The resulting residue was purified by column chromatography using hexane/ethyl acetate (v/v, 20/1 to 10/1) as the eluent to give the desired product.
