Preparation of 4-chloro-6-methoxy-2-(propylthio)pyrimidin-5-amine (CMLINA)
To a solution of CMLIN (0.10 g, 0.57 mmol) in AcOH (2 mL) Fe (98 mg, 1.75 mmol) was added, and reaction mixture was then stirred at room temperature for 2 h.
Salts were then filtered off and filtrate concentrated. EtOAc was added (400 mL), organic layer was washed with water (3 x 200 mL), dried over MgSO4, and concentrated to afford oily product (0.60 g, 68% yield). MS (ESI) m/z: 234 [MH]+.
