B Example B: Synthesis of phenylphosphoric dichloride
39 g (250 mmol) of phenyiphosphoric acid are dissolved in 1500 ml ofmethylene chloride, in which 10 drops of DMF are added. Afterwards, 90 ml(1030 mmol) of oxalyl chloride are added dropwise at room temperature in400 ml of methylene chloride and the mixture is then stirred at 45 C during5 hours. The solvent is removed under vacuum and the product isrecrystallized from hexane under a protective gas.Yield: 46 g (239 mmol), 96%.
