2-Fluoro-4-bromobenzaldehyde (20.0 g, 98.5 mmol) was suspended in hydrazine hydrate (100 mL) and heated under reflux for 20 hours. Cooling to room temperature to produce a large number of precipitates,The precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with water, and dried to give the title compound (17.3 g, 89.1%).
