Disodium 4-Formyl-1,3-benzenedisulfonate was used in the synthesis of symmetric and asymmetric xanthene dyes which can be used as components pf fluorescence-based sensors for imaging applications. It was also used in the synthesis of oxadiazole-based stilbene optical brighteners which act as ultraviolet radiation protectant for insect baculovirus. |
