Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Description]
Cyhalofop-butyl is a post-emergence, aryloxyphenoxypropionate herbicide, which is used in controlling weeds in rice plantations. Its mode of action involves the inhibition of acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase) biosynthesis. Cyhalofop-butyl has a low aqueous solubility and is non-volatile. It is non expected to be eprsistent in soil systems but may be persistent in some water systems depending on local conditions. Cyhalofop-butyl is moderately toxic to fish and aquatic plants but has a low toxicity ti aquatic invertebrates, birds and honeybees. It has a low mammalian oral toxicity. | [Uses]
Cyhalofop-butyl may be used as a reference standard in the determination of cyhalofop-butyl in rice samples using liquid chromatography coupled with diode array detector (LC-DAD). | [Definition]
ChEBI: Cyhalofop-butyl is an aromatic ether. | [Trade name]
