Reducing agent: LiAlD4, secondary alcohol: s-BuOH (0.55 ml, 6 mmol), cinchona alkaloid: quinine, yield: 140 mg (26%) of 7a+7b (43% d.e.) and 119 mg (37%) of 3-D.
