In this embodiment, a method for preparing 2-chloro-6-trichloromethylpyridine is provided.First, the 2-methylpyridine aqueous solution is passed through a liquid sample pump to a gasifier for gasification, and the molar ratio of 2-methylpyridine to water in the 2-methylpyridine aqueous solution is 1:5, and then gasified. The reaction was carried out at 240 ° C, the condensed product was collected, chromatographic analysis was carried out, and the tail gas was passed through an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide to obtain 2-chloro-6-trichloromethylpyridine, and the yield of 2-chloro-6-trichloromethylpyridine was 89.4%.
