-Benzylprop-2-yn-l-amine (SZV-1915/2) (Gruit M et al, Org. Biomol. Chem., 2011, 9, 1148-1 159) A suspension of (bromomethyl)benzene (5.8 ml, 48.6 mmol), prop-2-yn-l -amine (10.0 ml, 145.0 mmol) and K2C03 (8.0 g, 58.3 mmol) in anhydrous CH3CN (150.0 ml) was stirred at 90 °C under argon for 12 h. After filtration, the solvent was removed in vacuo. The residue was purified by flash chromatography on silica gel (-hexane:EtOAc 10:1). Pale yellow oil (6.50 g, 94%). NMR (400 MHz, Chloroform-c ) δ 7.37-7.23 (m, 5H, Ar-H), 3.88 (s, 2H, CH2), 3.42 (d, 7=2.4 Hz, 2H, CH2), 2.26 (t, J=2.4 Hz, 1H,≡CH).
