General procedure: To a stirred solutionof heptylbromid (3.58 g, 20.0 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (40.0 mL) was addedNaN3 (3.90 g, 60.0 mmol). Then the reaction mixture was warmed to 75 °C andrefluxed for 8 h, then cooled to room temperature and quenched with water (10 mL).The mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate (50 mL * 3), and the combined organicphase was washed with water (50 mL * 4) and brine (50 mL), dried over Na2SO4 andthen it was concentrated to afford 2a.
