General procedure: To a solution of 2-hydroxyl-3- methoxylbenzaldehyde (1g, 2-hydroxyl-4- methoxyl benzaldehyde, 2-hydroxyl-5- methoxylbenzaldehyde or 2-hydroxyl-4- methoxylbenzaldehyde) in acrylonitrile (2mL) DABCO (2eq.) was added. The sulotion was refluxed for 12h and loaded on a silica gel column after cold to room temperature and eluted with petroleum ether and acetone (10: 1 ~ 5: 1) to afford the product as a yellow solid.
