(b) Title compoundA solution of the compound obtained above (14.5 g, 50.14 mmol), Pd/C (10%, 50% in water) (3g) and ammonium formate (12.7 g, 200.5 mmol) in a mixture of MeOH (390 ml_) and water (45 ml_) was heated at reflux for 5 hours. The reaction was filtered through Celite and the filtrate was washed with AcOEt and MeOH. The solvent was evaporated to dryness to afford 10.6 g of the title compound as an oil(yield: 100%).¹H NMR (300 MHz, CDCI₃) δ: 1.38 (s, 9H), 1.72 (m, 1 H), 1.96 (m, 1 H), 2.53 (s, NH), 2.80 (s, 3H), 2.87 (m, 1 H), 2.93 (m, 1 H), 3.11 (m, 2H), 4.58 (m, 1 H).
