Step 1: A mixture of compound 1 (45.6 g, 0.2 mol), Boc-piperazine (112 g, 0.6 mol), Pd2(dba)3 (18.3 g, 0.02 mol), RuPhos (9 g, 0.02 mol), Cs2C03 (195 g, 0.6 mol) in tolune (400 mL) was stirred at 95 °C under N2overnight. The mixture was added to EA (200 mL), filtered and concentrated to get a residue, which was washed by PE to afford compound 2 (57 g, 87%) as a light yellow solid.
