Step 4 Production of 2-amino-4-(pyrrolidine-1-sulfonyl)phenol 2-Nitro-4-(pyrrolidine-1-sulfonyl)phenol (2.19 g) was dissolved in tetrahydrofuran (50 mL). 7.5% Palladium-carbon (0.2 g) was added to this solution and, under a hydrogen atmosphere, the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hrs. The reaction mixture was filtered through celite, and the residue was washed with tetrahydrofuran. The filtrate and washing solution were combined and the mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (n-hexane-ethyl acetate=1:l) to give the title compound (1.5494 g) as a cream color solid.
