Tert-butyl 4-(pyridin-3-ylmethyl (piperazine- 1 -carboxylate I - 75 (200 mg, 0.72 mmol ) was dissolved in a 4N HQ solution in dioxane (3 mL). The resulting solution was stirred for 4 hours at room temperature. Dioxane was removed under reduced pressure to provide a salt of I - 76 as a white solid (1 10 mg, 85%).
