1.主要成分
桉葉素（70%~85%），a-蒎烯，莰烯，水芹烯，萜品烯，萜品醇，乙酸香葉醇，異戊醛，香茅醛和胡椒酮等。
2.制法
由桃金娘科的藍桉或其他桉葉樹，香樟樹和樟樹等的新鮮葉子經(jīng)水蒸氣蒸餾而得。得率2%~3%。
有一定的防霉及殺菌防腐作用。平均熔點-15.4°。幾乎不溶于水，溶于乙醇，無水乙醇，油和脂肪中。
3.質(zhì)量標準
A.旋光度（20℃） ：0~+5°
B.混溶度（20℃） ：全溶于五倍體積70%（V/V）乙醇中
C.桉葉素含量 ：80.0%~85.0%
D.砷（以As計） ：≤0.0003%
E.重金屬（以Pb計） ：≤0.001%
4.用途
香料。
桉葉油具有殺菌作用，大量用于醫(yī)藥制品，也可作止咳糖，膠姆糖，含嗽劑，牙膏，空氣清凈劑等賦香劑。
