This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 15.4 kDa. The protein migrates as 17-20 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）
白細胞介素-4是一種誘導幼稚輔助T細胞（Th0細胞向Th2細胞）分化的細胞因子。在IL-4和IL-13的存在下，Th1型反應中產(chǎn)生的細胞因子，特別是在過敏和寄生蟲感染期間，巨噬細胞會被不同程度地激活，這種細胞因子是白細胞介素4受體的配體。白細胞介素4受體也與IL13結(jié)合，這可能導致該細胞因子和IL13的許多重疊功能。STAT6是一種信號轉(zhuǎn)導子和轉(zhuǎn)錄激活子，已被證明在介導這種細胞因子的免疫調(diào)節(jié)信號中起著核心作用。最近，研究人員發(fā)現(xiàn)，細胞因子IL-4在幾種基因缺陷小鼠品系（包括Itk、KLF2、CBP和Id3）胸腺中先天CD8+T細胞的發(fā)育中起著關(guān)鍵作用，這些小鼠品系以前沒有接觸過抗原。
