磺基羅丹明101為有機(jī)雜環(huán)有機(jī)物，可用作熒光標(biāo)記染料。Sulforhodamine 101 (SR101) 是一種兩性羅丹明紅色熒光染料 (excitation/emission: 586/605 nm)。Sulforhodamine 101 被廣泛用于研究神經(jīng)元形態(tài)，并作為星形膠質(zhì)細(xì)胞的細(xì)胞類(lèi)型選擇性熒光標(biāo)記物，在體內(nèi)和切片制備中都有應(yīng)用。
Sulforhodamine 101 (SR101) does not label astrocytes in brainstem slices as strong and specific as in the hippocampus or cortex. To minimize excitatory side effects, the concentration of Sulforhodamine 101 has to be kept as low as possible or the labeling procedure can be performed after the actual experiment.
In vivo , epileptic activity can be induced by intra-hippocampal injection of small volumes of 10 μM Sulforhodamine 101 or topical application of 100 μM.
