Beschreibung

This base occurs in the roots of Scutia buxifolia Reiss and forms colourless crystals from MeOH-Et 20. It is optically active having a specific rotation of [α]_D - 188° (c 0.15, CHCI3). The structure, determined from chemical and spectroscopic examinations, shows it to be a peptide base.
