The Chinese name of Mesidol is 2-ethyl-6methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinic acid (Mexidox), 2-ethyl-6-methyl-3-hydroxypyridine succinate (emoxypine, product Name-MEXIDOL?, etc.) is widely used in medicine as an antioxidant and anti-hypoxic agent.
