cis-Cinnamaldehyde Chemische Eigenschaften,Einsatz,Produktion Methoden
Beschreibung
cis-Cinnamaldehyde, also known as (Z)-cinnamaldehyde or (Z)-3-phenylprop-2-enal, is the cis(Z) isomer of cinnamaldehyde. Cinnamaldehyde has two isomers including the cis (Z) and trans (E) isomers. Cinnamaldehyde is one of the main components of the essential oil of cinnamon bark and is widely used in perfumes or flavours. cis-Cinnamaldehyde has antibacterial properties and is therefore also used in pharmaceutical products (toothpaste and mouthwash).
Verwenden
cis-Cinnamaldehyde acts as an antibacterial agent against Escherichia Coli and Salmonella in vitro. Causes cell structural damage resulting in leakage of cellular content. cis-Cinnamaldehyde is derived from (Z)-Cinnamyl Alcohol (C442105), a useful synthetic intermediate and is also used as a reagent in the synthesis of one-dimensional ZnO nanorods with well-defined morphology as highly selective photocatalyst.
