Sucromalt is a full calorie sweetener derived from sucrose and maltose. It is 60–70% as sweet as sugar and has a lower glycemic response than sugar and glucose. It is a syrup having a moisture content of 20–25% and mainly consists of fructose and higher saccharides. Uses include cereals, beverages, confectionary, yogurt.
