Biochem/physiol Actions
DPF1 (double PHD fingers 1) plays an important role in preserving the stemness in GICs (glioma initiating cells). It serves as a therapeutic target for glioblastoma. DPF1 acts as an adaptor protein, associated with connecting the SWI/SNF (switch/sucrose non-fermentable) complex and corepressor complexes having TLX (a nuclear orphan receptor) and LSD1 (lysine-specific demethylase 1)/RCOR2 (REST corepressor 2).
