Anti-piggyBac transposable element derived 1 antibody produced in rabbit Chemische Eigenschaften,Einsatz,Produktion Methoden
Verwenden
Rabbit Anti-PGBD1 (AB1) antibody is suitable for western blot applications at a concentration of 2.5 μg/ml.
Allgemeine Beschreibung
PGBD1 codes for a protein that belongs to the piggyBac family of proteins. The gene product is expressed in the brain.
Rabbit Anti-PGBD1 antibody recognizes human PGBD1.
Biochem/physiol Actions
PGBD1 belongs to the subfamily of piggyBac transposable element derived (PGBD) genes. The PGBD proteins appear to be novel, with no obvious relationship to other transposases, or other known protein families. This gene product is specifically expressed in the brain, however, its exact function is not known. Western blots using two different antibodies against two unique regions of this protein target confirm the same apparent molecular weight in our tests. The piggyBac family of proteins, found in diverse animals, are transposases related to the transposase of the canonical piggyBac transposon from the moth, Trichoplusia ni. This family also includes genes in several genomes, including human, that appear to have been derived from the piggyBac transposons. The PGBD proteins appear to be novel, with no obvious relationship to other transposases, or other known protein families.
