Also obtained by reaction of Selectfluor with 1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethanone in boiling methanol for 24 h (71%)
Preparation by adding Rongalite to a solution of dichlorofluoromethyl 4-methoxyphenyl ketone in ethanol under nitrogen. Then, the solution was refluxing for 45 min (65%).
