Questions And Answer | Back Directory | [Physical Form]
White solid | [Synthesis]
The venerable Balz and Schiemann reaction is the most powerful methodology for preparing aryl
fluorides. Not surprisingly, this reaction has been applied to the synthesis of fluoropyridines. Thus,
2,6-dichloro-3-fluoropyridine is readily prepared from 3-amino-2,6-dichloropyridine. The
method has been applied to combinatorial synthesis on the solid phase.
