- Product Name:SEC-BUTYLAMINE
- CAS Number:33966-50-6
- Molecular formula:C4H11N
- Molecular Weight:73.14
Yield:-
Reaction Conditions:
in ethyl acetate;N,N-dimethyl-formamide
Steps:
1.1 Step 1:
Step 1: 2-(N-benzoyl-N-butyl)amino-5-nitro-6-cyanopyridine To a solution of 3.0 g (16 mmol) of 2-chloro-5-nitro-6-cyano-pyridine in 10ml of dry DMF was added at 0° C. 2.18 g (21.6 mmol) of triethylaminefollowed by 1.4 g (18 mmol) of n-butyl amine. The reaction mixture was stirred for 5 hours, diluted with 100 ml of EtOAc and washed with water (3*10 ml). The aqueous phase was extracted with EtOAc (2*10 ml). The combined organic phases were washed with brine (1*30 ml) and dried over MgSO4. The solution was filtered and the filtrate was concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by flash chromatography over silica gel eluding with 80% CH2 Cl2 /hexanes to give 2.43 gof the intermediate 2-butyl amine.
