138.1 mg (3.0 mmol) of formic acid are added to a solution of (R)-2-(3-diisopropylamino -1-phenylpropyl)-4-hydroxymethylphenol (1.02 g, 3.0 mmol) in 7.5 g of acetonitrile at ambient temperature. The oil that is precipitated is brought into solution by heating. Standing overnight leads to the formation of coarse, colourless crystals, which are sucked off and dried (yield: almost quantitative), purity (HPLC): 97.7%. [0130] Mp: 151.8 DEG C.
