Method (b) [5]; 1.08 g (2.76 mmol) of [Mn2(CO)10] was dissolved in 75 ml of dry CH2Cl2 under nitrogen. 4 ml (0.048 mol) of SO2Cl2 was then added fairly slowly (5-10 min).
