Steps:
General procedure: A flame-dried 50 mL round bottom flask equipped with a magnetic stirring bar, an N2 gas balloon, a rubber septum, and a condenser with chilled water. A mixture of above prepared phenyl carbamate 18, methyl carbazate 19 (10.0 mmol, 1.0 equiv), triethylamine (10.0 mmol, 1.0 equiv) in acetonitrile (20 mL) was refluxed for 1h. After completion, reaction mixture was cooled and evaporated the solvent, resulted crude was triturated with 50% EtOAc/Cyclohexane to afford semi carbazides 20.
