General procedure for the synthesis of α-nitroketene N,S-arylaminoacetals 1a-1r [1].

General procedure: A mixture of 1,1-bis(methylthio)-2-nitroethylene (1 mmol) and the suitable aromatic amine in ethanol was magnetically stirred while heated under reflux for 24 h. After completion of the reaction (TLC), the mixture was cooled to room temperature, and the separated solid was filtered and washed with ethanol to afford the pure α-nitroketene N,S-arylaminoacetals.
