Preparation of 6,7-difluoroquinoxalin-2(1H)-one (VIa-04)

Preparation of 6,7-difluoroquinoxalin-2(1H)-one (VIa-04) (0442) (0443) After addition of 1 ml of acetic acid, 3.00 g (21.1 mmol) of 4,5-difluorobenzene-1,2-diamine and 3.00 g (32.5 mmol) of glyokylic acid monohydrate in 100 ml of isopropanol are stirred at 50° C. for 18 h. (0444) After cooling, the solvent is then removed under reduced pressure. The residue is stirred with water and the dark-brown solid is filtered off with suction. (0445) This leaves 3.37 g (87.7% of theory, purity according to 1H-NMR 100%). (0446) 1H-NMR (D₆-DMSO) δ ppm: 12.54 (broad, 1H), 8.19 (s, 1H), 7.95-7.90 (m, 1H), 7.26-7.21 (m, 1H)
