A solution of Compound 4c (2.0 g, 7.37 mmol) in MeOH (60 mL) was added to 5% Pd/C (0.2 g) under nitrogen. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 hours under hydrogen atmosphere and then filtered through celite. The filtrate was evaporated in vacuo to yield l-(3- fluoro-benzyl)-lH-indazol-5-ylamine Compound 4d (1.72 g, 97%) as a solid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 7.84 (IH, d), 7.28-7.21 (IH, m), 7.13 (IH, d, J= 8.8 Hz), 9.96-6.90 (3H, m), 6.84-6.81 (2H, m), 5.52 (2H, s), 3.60 (2H, br s); MS (ES+) m/z 242.1 (MH+).
