4.2. General procedure for the synthesis of thiosemicarbazidederivatives (1-30)
General procedure: To a stirred solution of hydrazine hydrate (85%, 2.4 mmol) in 20 mL of isopropanol, appropriately substituted isothiocyanate(2.0 mmol) was added at room temperature. Precipitate was formed immediately. Stirring was continued for 3 h. Then the mixture was filtered and the precipitate was washed with isopropanol three times to give the desired product.
