A solution of 24.9 G 3, 6-dichloro-4-methylpyridazine and 56,7 g potassium dichromate in 250 ml of concentrated sulphuric acid are stirred at 40°C for 2 h, the reaction mixture is poured onto 1.5 1 ice-water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer is extracted with water and a saturated solution of NACI, dried over MGS04 and evaporated. The raw product is used without any further purification. Yield : 27.1 G MS: M+1 =193. 1
