Steps:

2,4-Dichloro-6-(diisopropylamino)-1,3,5-triazine (MIAT) and 2,4-Dichloro-6-(diethylamino)-1,3,5-triazine (MEAT)

General procedure: To a 100-mL flask, equipped with magnetic stirrer, was added cy-anuric chloride (2.0 g, 10.8 mmol) in acetone (20 mL). Then, theamine (21.6 mmol, 2 equiv) was added dropwise to the solution andthe reaction was stirred at r.t. for 30 min (monitored by GC). The sus-pension was filtered to remove ammonium chloride and mother li-quors were concentrated to dryness. The obtained solid was charac-terized by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, FT-IR, and mp.
