3 Example 3 Synthesis of β-Chlorosubstituted Tetrafluoropropionyl Fluoride

In a 1 L dry reactor equipped with a dry ice condensate reflux, anhydrous lithium chloride (42 g) and anhydrous diethylene glycol dimethyl ether (500 mL) were added and placed in an ice-water bath with slow pass Hexafluoropropylene oxide (166 g) was added and kept in an ice-water bath for 2 h until there was no reflux at the bottom of the dry ice condenser and stirring was continued for two hours.
