To 1 g of 2-butanone in 40 ml of H20, HRO/Na-β catalyst (50 mg) was added in a reactorvessel. The reactor vessel was then heated at 100 °C for 30 mm under H2 pressure (15 bar).After completion of the reaction, the catalyst was separated by using centrifuge and theobtained clear product mixture was analyzed by GC-MS. The reaction gave 100% conversion of 2-butanone with 100% yield of 2-butanol.
