General procedure for homocoupling reactions
General procedure: A mixture of arenediazonium tetrafluoroborate salt (1 mmol), FeCl2 (1 mmol) was stirred in CCl4 (2 mL) at 60 °C for 3 h. Afterward, the reaction solution was cooled to rt and filtered through a filter paper. The organic phase was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified on a SiO2 column to afford the desired product.
