Add 0.3 mmol a-methylcinnamaldehyde, 0.45 ηηη1 tribasic copper nitrate to a 15 mL pressure tube, and then add 3 mL of a mixture of acetonitrile and water (V (acetonitrile): V (water) = 100:1) As a solvent. Next, stirring was performed at 130° (magnetic stirring for 12 hours). Then, two-passage silica gel column chromatography (100-200 mesh) was added to the reaction solution, and the solvent was removed by distillation under reduced pressure. The residue was separated by column chromatography. Using a mixture of V (petroleum ether):V (ethyl acetate) = 20:1 as eluent, the eluent containing the target product was collected, and the solvent was distilled off to obtain pure product. The amount of pure product was: 0.117 mmol The material was a yellow solid and the chemical name was 2-methyl-2-nitrostyrene in a yield of 39%.
