1 Production of 2-trifluoromethyl-1,4-bis[4-(6-acryloyloxyhexyloxy)benzoyloxy]benzene (Compound 1a-2-5)
Stage 2 Synthesis of 2-bromo-5-ethoxybenzotrifluoride (c) Bromine (18.2 g) was slowly added dropwise to Compound (b) (19.3 g) at room temperature, and then the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. Water and ether were added for liquid separation, and the aqueous layer was extracted three times with ether. The organic layers were combined, washed with saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate and water, and then dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure to obtain 21.0 g of Compound (c). 1H-NMR(CDCl3; δ ppm): 7.55(d, 1H), 7.20(d, 1H), 6.88(dd, 1H), 4.02(q, 2H), 1.42(t, 3H).
