Aladdin? Loading Controls

Aladdin® Loading Controls
Introduction
Loading Controls are antibodies used for standardizing and quantifying the expression levels of proteins. They typically target proteins encoded by "housekeeping genes," which have relatively constant expression levels across different cell types, tissues, and physiological states, and are therefore often used as a reference standard in experiments to ensure the accuracy and comparability of experimental results.
When selecting a suitable Loading control protein, in addition to considering the expression of the target protein and the internal reference protein in the sample, it is also necessary to consider the molecular weight of the internal reference protein, the molecular weight of the target protein, the subcellular distribution, and the treatment involved in the experiment.
Common Loading control proteins, protein size and location distribution are as follows:
Note: The molecular weight of proteins are predicted according to the official website of Uniprot (https://www.uniprot.org/) , for reference only.
Based on the distribution of housekeeping proteins within the body, loading control products are categorized into six types: those located in the cytoskeleton, nucleus, cell membrane, cytoplasm/whole cell, mitochondria, and serum.
