Methyltriacetoxysilane is a coupling agent for single component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber. Its appearance is a colorless and transparent liquid; Boiling point: 110-112℃; Density (25℃): 1.1740; Refractive index (20℃): 1.4083. When added to silicone rubber, it can be cured and formed without heating. For some components that cannot withstand high temperatures, it is particularly important to add such coupling agents for silicone cross-linking and curing. Its acyloxy group is more reactive than other groups such as methoxy and ethoxy, decomposes faster, and has better adhesion effects on strengthening aluminum alloys, nylon, glass, ceramics, and other materials.

1.Methyltriacetoxysilane can be used as the main crosslinking agent for deacidification type room temperature cured silicone rubber. Methyl triacetoxysilane with higher monomer content appears as white crystals at low temperatures. When the dimer content is relatively high, it can avoid crystallization at low temperatures.

2. To avoid the influence of methyltriacetoxysilane crystallization on RTV silicone rubber, and to improve the elongation, tensile strength, and bonding strength of RTV silicone rubber, this product is often mixed with ethyl triacetoxysilane, vinyl triacetoxysilane, di tert butoxydicarboxyloxysilane, etc. This not only prevents its crystallization but also greatly improves the strength, elongation, and other properties of silicone rubber, resulting in ideal performance of silicone rubber.

3.It can be used as a crosslinking agent for bonding plastics, nylon, ceramics, aluminum, etc. with silicone rubber.
