Rosemary Essential Oil

Rosemary Latin name: Rosmarinus officinalis

Extraction method: Leaf water distillation

Shape: Colorless to pale yellow volatile liquid.

The main stem of rosemary is about 1 meter high, the leaves are linear, about 1 cm long, shaped like curved pine needles, dark green, bright above, white below, and the leaf margins are curled toward the back of the leaf; they grow in small clusters in the leaf axils, which are especially attractive to bees. The essential oil content is 0.3 to 2%, obtained by distillation, and the main component is 2-ciol (C10H18O).
