Bioflavones

Bioflavones
Bioflavones, polysaccharides and alkaloids are the three natural products from plants. But compared with the latter two, the development and utilization of bioflavones is late. Although rutin (also a bioflavone) was developed decades ago as an adjunct to cardiovascular disease (note: rutin increases capillary permeability and prevents cerebral hemorrhage caused by arteriosclerosis), it has remained an unremarkable niche in the medical market.
Effective:
Bioflavonoids, can regulate blood lipids, reduce blood viscosity, improve serum lipids, prolong the life of red blood cells and enhance hematopoietic function, prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases; Inhibiting the growth of HL-60 leukemia cells and the role of cancer cell lysis; Can effectively remove Free radicals (Free Reaical) and toxins in the body, prevent and reduce the occurrence of diseases; Anti-inflammatory, anti - allergic, broad - spectrum antibacterial, antiviral effects. Functions of pine needle extract:
It has the function of scavenging free radicals and antioxidant.
2. Anti-thrombus, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular protection, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects.
3. Relieve alcohol poisoning, protect liver and other functions.
4. It has the functions of clearing heat and detoxifying, dispelling dampness and strengthening muscles and bones.
Bioflavones family:
Bioflavones are actually a big family. There are at least 4,000-5,000 bioflavonoids whose chemical structures have been confirmed, including well-known old products such as rutin, tea polyphenols (represented by "catechin"), soy isoflavones (represented by daidzein and genistein), hesperidin and quercetin. Bioflavone (bi. Nav. N. ids is a very broad general name. In fact, the chemical classification of bioflavone substances is extremely complex, including: flavonoids, flavonols, flavanones, flavanols, isoflavones, anthocyanins, proanthocyanidins, etc. Recently, some western scholars have proposed that plant-derived bioflavonoids can be roughly divided into four categories according to the similarity of their chemical structures: proanthocyanidins; Quercetin; Citrus bioflavonoids, green tea polyphenols. This is not only easy to classify, but also to facilitate the development and utilization of products.
Resveratrol,
In fact, since the debut of Pycnogenol, a new French flavonoid health care product, bioflavones, which have been neglected for a long time, have attracted the attention of the medical community. The most obvious example is the development and utilization of resveratrol from French red wine, which became a new hot spot in the medical and healthcare quality market in the 1990s. It is well known that the death rate of myocardial infarction in the French people is much lower than that in Europe and the United States because they drink red wine all year round. The reason is that there is a lot of resveratrol in red wine. It's also a bioflavone. Further studies revealed that resveratrol was present in the skins and seeds of red grapes. At present, resveratrol extracted from grape skin and seed after juice extraction has already become a popular health food to prevent coronary heart disease and arteriosclerosis.
Green tea polyphenols
Green tea polyphenols are also a bioflavone mixture. The latest scientific research has confirmed that green tea polyphenols can not only eliminate harmful physiological metabolites in the body, but also activate the body's detoxification system and immune system function. Therefore, people who often drink green tea are not susceptible to allergic diseases and cancer. Other benefits of green tea polyphenols are lowering blood lipids, lowering blood pressure and preventing strokes. Green tea polyphenols have long become the best-selling new raw material of health food in the international market. At least hundreds of millions of "green tea polyphenols" capsules are sold every year in the United States alone.
The screening of bioflavones for new health products with anti-cancer effects has been under way in recent years. Scientists have long found that the catechins and tannins in green tea have excellent tumor-inhibiting effects. According to the latest reports abroad, naringin and hesperidin and other bioflavones from citrus have excellent inhibitory effect on the growth of breast cancer cells. In addition, four bioflavones from non-citrus sources, including begaine, galangal extract, genistein and quercetin, were found to inhibit the growth of breast cancer tissue either alone or in combination.
Ellagic acid
Ellagic acid is a bioflavone widely found in strawberries, grapes, apples, cranberries, blackberries and walnuts. Recent studies have shown that ellagic acid can inhibit lung, liver, skin, and esophageal cancer caused by chemical carcinogens in laboratory animals (THE size of tumors decreased by 54% after 25 WEEKS of oral administration). The readily available ellagic acid is expected to be developed into a new drug to compete with Taxol, the best-selling anti-cancer drug.
Bioflavones are mainly derived from plant materials, which are not only rich in source but also reproducible. The research and development of flavonoid products are still very few. Imagine that if 10 percent of the thousands of bioflavones whose chemical structures have been identified were eventually developed into new therapeutic drugs, hundreds of new drugs would be added to the international market.
There has long been skepticism about the safety of bioflavones. This IS BECAUSE IN THE EARLY 1950S WESTERN RESEARCHERS DEVELOPING PHYTATED PRODUCTS FOUND THAT CERTAIN FLAVONOID SUBSTANCES, SUCH AS QUERCETIN, WERE CARCINOGENIC IN TEST TUBES. After the report was published, bioflavones were put on the back burner. Fortunately, some people have recently come forward to "rehabilitate" bioflavonoids. For example, according to the Western medical journal, some people have done many animal experiments, large doses of quercetin, which was once considered to be a "carcinogenic substance", were fed to experimental animals, and no signs of cancer were found in their bodies after half a year. This proves that quercetin of plant origin is very safe. In addition, there are numerous reports confirming that quercetin is not only not carcinogenic, it is more anticancer.
