Corosolic Acid is an extract from the leaves of some plants such as Loquat, Lagerstroemia speciosa etc. Those are native Asian plants and are found in China, Japan, India, the Philippines and the Southeastern part of Asia. This ingredient is believed to be beneficial in treating type 2 diabetes because it may possess the ability to reduce glucose levels. This has been tested in mice. Corosolic Acid may also be beneficial in lowering the blood pressure as well as burning fat. It is also believed to have powerful antioxidant properties. It may help to neutralize free radical, promote healthy kidney function and prevent cell membrane lipid oxidation.
Corosolic Acid is an ingredient in several weight loss supplements available on the market. It can be used alone or be used along with several other ingredients.
