PTX3是一種原型長(zhǎng)五聚蛋白，由C端203個(gè)氨基酸的五聚蛋白樣結(jié)構(gòu)域與N端178個(gè)氨基酸無(wú)關(guān)部分組成。在調(diào)節(jié)對(duì)病原體的先天抵抗力、炎癥反應(yīng)、可能清除自身成分和女性生育能力方面發(fā)揮作用。PTX3可以與C1q結(jié)合，但不能與C1s結(jié)合。
