蛋白結(jié)構(gòu)（Molecular Characterization）
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus. This protein contains an Activation peptide, and will be partially processed into Pro form with calculated MW of 37.3 kDa and mature form with calculated MW of 29 kDa under reducing (R) condition. The protein migrates as 43-47 kDa and 32-35 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

組織蛋白酶B（CTSB）也稱為APP分泌酶（APPS）和CPSB，是一種屬于肽酶C1家族的酶蛋白。組織蛋白酶B/CTSB是一種前酶。在去除信號肽后，非活性酶原經(jīng)歷進(jìn)一步的修飾，包括去除前區(qū)以產(chǎn)生活性酶。組織蛋白酶B/APPS的催化活性包括：對肽鍵具有廣泛特異性的蛋白質(zhì)水解；優(yōu)先切割小分子底物中的-Arg-Arg-|-Xaa鍵（因此不同于組織蛋白酶L）；除了是一種內(nèi)肽酶外，還顯示出肽基二肽酶活性，釋放C末端二肽。組織蛋白酶B/CPSB作為一種巰基蛋白酶，被認(rèn)為參與蛋白質(zhì)的細(xì)胞內(nèi)降解和周轉(zhuǎn)，也與腫瘤侵襲和轉(zhuǎn)移有關(guān)。組織蛋白酶B的過表達(dá)與食管腺癌和其他腫瘤有關(guān)。
